Charles is the owner of a boutique direct marketing firm, where he helps entrepreneurs, and  small businesses owners with their marketing. This includes developing strategies and implementing direct mail campaigns, database marketing, online marketing, mobile marketing, etc.

Charles’ direct marketing strategies involve new customer acquisition, increasing customer frequency, and raising the average transaction size, while cultivating loyal clients.

In 2010, he started the Art Marketing Institute to teach artists how to prosper and sell their art using direct and interactive marketing.  He teaches all aspect of direct marketing to sell art, but is adamant about using your database to determine who your customers are and then finding new customers similar to your current customers. All while retaining your current customers to grow your business.

Moreover, Charles is a contributing author to the forthcoming Contemporary Direct & Interactive Marketing, 3/e, co-authored by Lisa Spiller and Martin Baier, published by Pearson Prentice Hall.

In 2003, Charles was honored by the Direct Marketing Association, with their most prestigious award, a Gold Echo, for a campaign he did for Mazda, USA.

In addition, Charles is a former marketing student at the Joseph W. Luter, III School of Business at Christopher Newport University.

Charles he has owned retail stores in mall locations and also worked with other corporations to promote and sell their products and services.
